Chase U finally has championship gold in it’s ranks, as Andre Chase and Duke Hudson unseated Tony D’Angelo and Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo to win the NXT Tag Team Championship at NXT Halloween Havoc.
This marks the first championship win in WWE for both men, including Duke Hudson, who has been signed to WWE since 2019, including a blink and you’ll miss it run on the main roster back in 2020.
Following his championship win, numerous Australian WWE stars have taken to social media to congratulate Duke on his championship win.
Current Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley took to Twitter, reacting to the victory by saying:
Wtf. @sixftfiiiiive with a title… Never thought I’d see the day congratulations… I guess
Along with her, fellow Australian Raw star Bronson Reed simply wrote:
Yeah @sixftfiiiiive!!!!
Former WWE star Shane Haste, the former Shane Thorne and Slapjack in WWE, who was Hudson’s tag team partner during his brief run on the main roster in 2020, also congratulated him.
He wrote:
Congratulations @sixftfiiiiive! I’ve always believed in you!
Chase U’s victory wasn’t the only title change on the show, as Lyra Valkyria defeated Becky Lynch in the main event to win her first NXT Women’s Championship.
