Serena Williams said goodbye to the world of tennis at the US Open 2022. The US tennis legend stopped in the third round of the last Grand Slam of the year by losing in three sets to one of the best versions of Ajla Tomljanovic.
The crowd consistently supported Serena Williams by crowding the stands of Arthur Ashe Stadium in the three games that marked her journey to Flushing Meadows. Against the Australian player, the 23-time Grand Slam champion threw a 5-3 lead to the winds and saw her opponent close at 5-7.
