Johnny Depp has agreed a new contract with Dior to remain as the face of Sauvage cologne, which he has promoted since 2015.
Even at the age of 59, Johnny Depp is maintaining his status as a male icon, as evidenced by this renewal as the face of Dior’s Sauvage perfume.
This renewal is for several years and it is believed that he’ll receive a seven-figure sum to continuing to work with Dior.
According to TMZ, Depp signed the new deal to continue fronting the fragrance after fashion photographer Greg Williams attended one of Depp’s and Jeff Beck’s concerts in Paris.
The publication claims that Depp did a photo shoot with Williams and that the resulting artwork will be used in a new Dior ad campaign.
Johnny Depp’s opportunities following the Amber Heard trial
Johnny Depp has spent most of 2022 in the headlines, having been involved in a high-profile defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard, which he won.
Having won that trial and having charmed the audience during it, the Wall Street Journal noted that sales of the Dior fragrance had increased at the time of the trial.
Having cleared his name and having returned to the limelight, it makes sense that Dior would want to keep working with the actor.
What is next in Johnny Depp’s legal battle with Amber Heard?
Meanwhile, Depp is still embroiled in legal battles with his ex-wife Amber Heard, as the actress fights to overturn the court settlement against her.
She was forced to pay 10.35 million dollars in damages after a defamation lawsuit, but the actress has asked for it to be overturned because she cannot afford to pay such an amount.
Depp is continuing to add to his projects. He recently sold his debut art collection, selling 750 limited edition pieces for a whopping 3.6m dollars through Castle Fine Art.
