Sasha Banks leaving WWE has become one of the biggest wrestling stories of 2022. The WWE career of Banks deserved a lot of respect for all she accomplished in a short time. Everyone will remember Sasha’s WWE work for the epic matches and title reigns as a top tier singles star for the women’s division.

However, Banks would find her way into many tag matches with various partners throughout the years. WWE booking shows all year without a break will see almost every wrestler in a few tag matches with different partners. The same applied to Sasha with partners from both sides of the coin. Each of the following wrestlers were the best or worst tag partners of Banks.

10/10
Best: Naomi

The controversial departure of Sasha Banks and Naomi from WWE is likely ending their time teaming in the promotion. WWE paired together Naomi and Banks on multiple occasions with relatively strong results of compelling moments.
The first chapter came in the Team BAD faction when they often had tag matches. WWE reunited them for WrestleMania 38 when Sasha didn’t fit into the singles title scene. Even with the weak booking for the women’s tag division, Banks and Naomi always felt like stars connecting with the crowd together.

9/10
Worst: Tamina

WWE made Tamina the third member of the Team BAD faction to unite with Sasha Banks and Naomi. The usual tag pairing was Sasha and Naomi, but Tamina often rotated or joined them for the six-women tag matches.

Tamina has struggled to stay over when placed in any noteworthy position. WWE found the most success for her as the enforcer for Naomi, AJ Lee and others. Unfortunately, the matches didn’t have the same appeal with Tamina as Banks’ partner.

8/10
Best: Finn Balor

The Mixed Match Challenge concept paired intergender teams of one male wrestler and one female wrestler competing in a tournament at the end. Sasha Banks and Finn Balor were arguably the most popular team in the first season.

WWE prioritized The Miz & Asuka, Charlotte Flair & AJ Styles, and Braun Strowman & Alexa Bliss as the bigger threats. Banks and Balor still had solid chemistry and showed why they were the most underpushed wrestlers at the time.

7/10
Worst: Rich Swann

Rich Swann has always been a good in-ring performer, but WWE didn’t help the cruiserweights look good when added to the main roster. The cruiserweight division received its own 205 Live weekly show and competed on the Raw brand at the start.

WWE decided to merge angles with the tag feud of Sasha Banks and Swann against Alicia Fox and her cruiserweight love interest Noam Dar. The program didn’t have much to deliver as Banks and Swann only teamed together for one match.

6/10
Best: Becky Lynch

WWE paired Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks together multiple times throughout their respective careers. NXT saw them both teaming up when having issues with face characters like Charlotte Flair and Bayley to show the early signs of their chemistry.

There was even a fun main roster program where Sasha was now a face and needed a mystery partner to face former friends Naomi and Tamina. Lynch teamed up with Banks to score the impressive victory that proved they made a fun team.

5/10
Worst: Mickie James

It was likely a dream for Sasha Banks to team with Mickie James due to her fandom of wrestling growing up in the Ruthless Aggression Era. However, they rarely delivered strong performances together that lasted as memories of the fans.
James teamed with Banks multiple times in televised traditional tag matches or multi-women tag matches. Sasha and Mickie were allies against heels like Alexa Bliss, Nia Jax and the members of Absolution. James had better chemistry with Bliss or other partners more than Banks.

4/10
Best: Roman Reigns

WWE placed Sasha Banks in a couple of interesting mixed tag matches on television with fascinating partners. Roman Reigns was the biggest name to team with Sasha when they had their sole tag match together during an episode of Raw.

The duo of Banks and Reigns had the crowd behind them when defeating their respective rivals of Charlotte Flair and Rusev. WWE could have had a few more matches with this pairing given how fun that match was and how strongly the crowd supported them.

3/10
Worst: Natalya

Natalya has held just about every role in WWE given her lengthy stint and the various changes for the women’s division throughout that time. Sasha Banks has teamed with Natalya on multiple occasions, but one storyline stands out more than others.

WWE booked a feud between the Riott Squad and face wrestlers Sasha, Natalya and Bayley heading into the historic all women’s card at Evolution. Natalya felt a bit out of place as someone WWE just randomly added since they needed a third face on the team and wanted to reward the veteran.

2/10
Best: Bayley

The long history between Sasha Banks and Bayley has seen them thriving as both rivals and partners. NXT saw them as bitter enemies, but Banks was a face on the main roster when Bayley was getting called up to join her.

The Boss and Hug Connection became a popular women’s team that influenced WWE creating the Women’s Tag Team Championship. Both women turning heel and continuing to excel together made them arguably the greatest female team in WWE history.

1/10
Worst: Enzo Amore

The worst tag team partner of Sasha Banks was the one-off partnership with Enzo Amore in a mixed tag match. WWE once again tried to tell the story of two differing feuds of both divisions working together for one interesting match on television.

Sasha and Enzo faced off with the heel team of Chris Jericho and Charlotte Flair on Raw in the summer of 2016. The heels ended up scoring the victory as Jericho and Flair were the names protected in this match. Banks thankfully didn’t have to team with Amore again, especially since he was released not that long afterwards.
